Meet the Dentist

Dr. John R. Monroe, Sr.

Dr. Monroe attended Washington and Lee University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Masters in Aquatic Entomology at Clemson University before graduating from MUSC Dental School. Dr. Monroe had several family friends who were dentists and was drawn to dentistry because he likes working with his hands and enjoys helping people. He has been in private practice in upstate South Carolina since he graduated dental school.

Dr. Monroe is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Greenville County Dental Society, the Piedmont District Society, the Palmetto Study Club (Seattle Study Club) and the Periodontics of Greenville Study Club.

Dr. Monroe and his wife, Lillian, have one son, Jack. In his down time, Dr. Monroe enjoys running, reading, Furman Paladin sports, and Braves baseball.

Jessica Holmes

Dental Hygienist
Jessica attended the University of South Carolina prior to graduating from the Dental Hygiene program at Greenville Technical College.  She has been practicing since 2004 following in her late fathers footsteps who was a Dentist.  Jessica’s passions include the creative arts as well as international missions.  She has three beautiful children and loves her career as Dental Hygienist.

Hailey Harrison

Dental Assistant
Hailey was born in Greenville and has lived in Greenville and Melbourne Florida.  She attended Eastern Florida State College.  She enjoys hiking the mountains and visiting downtown Greenville in her spare time.

Savannah Touchet

Dental Assistant
Savannah Touchet joined our team in January 2021.  She is a 2013 graduate of Tri County Technical College.  Savannah is a certified Expanded duty dental assistant.  She loves reading, marvel movies, cookies and spending time with her family.  Savannah serves on the welcome team at her church and  she is excited to be a part of our dental team.

Kim King

Office Manager
Kim has been an integral part of the Monroe team for 30 years. She completed her studies at Greenville Technical College and is a certified dental assistant. Kim and her husband, Robert, have four adult children and seven grandchildren…and continuing to grow! In her free time, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, spending time at her church and volunteering at schools on Fridays.
